Message Android Chrome or other browser –
“Play on App” (And then clicking on it redirects it to Zenplayer)
Reason – It can happen due to not rightly configured settings for VdoCipher integration Or User not watching on updated Chrome cognito window. (not incognito)
What to do –
Firstly, this is to understand – Click on app will play via our zenplayer app securely, so it is not an issue. But yes, it can be possibly corrected for HTML5 playback.
1. Ensure that video is being watched in updated Chrome on Android. (In normal cognito window, not incognito window)
2. Ensure your site domain is in https or you are testing in http://localhost It is a must requirement by browsers for playing HTML5 content.
3. Kindly ensure that the Iframe or URL finally rendered on site has allow=”encrypted-media” included in it. Many themes remove it from final rendered url, thus causing app to play instead of html5. An example video of this happening is shown.
4. If the device of user is old (Android OS <5), then it can not be corrected.
